FSARN Scholarships

FSARN awards scholarship funds for ARN supported conferences, continuing education and CRRN testing.  Please note that it is at the discretion of the FSARN Board & Scholarship Committee to determine allocation of funds based on the budget for that year.  For more information about any of these scholarships, please contact: Brook Jimenez at the email below.

Conference Scholarships: You must be a current ARN and FSARN member to apply. The conference scholarship deadlines must be postmarked 30 days prior to the conference early registration deadline.  conference dates are as follows:

Continuing Education Scholarships:

CRRN Scholarships
FSARN awards scholarship funds to members who have successfully passed the CRRN exam. Please complete the CRRN Scholarship application and return to Brook Jimenez via email or US Mail at the address on the application.

Membership Brochure

  • Registered Nurses may join as full members with voting privileges. All others may join as associate members with no voting privileges.
  • There are reduced membership fees available for retired nurses, contact ARN Membership for further information, rate, and eligibility criteria.
  • To join the Florida State Association of Rehabilitation Nurses, you must be a member of the National Organization, ARN. FSARN membership is renewed annually with your ARN Membership.
  • In the state of Florida, we have tri-level membership requirements. Your National and State Chapter dues are paid directly to ARN. Your district dues must be paid at the local/district level. 
  • Currently, ARN annual dues are $145 and FSARN annual dues are $15. Each district sets their own annual dues.
  • ARN members receive publications that include: Rehabilitation Nursing and ARN News. FSARN members also receive Communiques. In addition, members receive discounts on all ARN educational conferences that update your knowledge and provide continuing education credits.
  • Reciprocity for people moving into the area will be granted if a member of ARN and their respective chapters.

Certification in rehabilitation nursing shows employers, colleagues, patients, and the public that you are committed to excellence in caring for people with physical disabilities and chronic illnesses. It indicates that you you are an experienced rehabilitation or restorative nurse who has achieved a level of knowledge in this practice area. Certification is an investment that can reap great rewards. These include increased professional credibility, recognition of your expertise, greater impact as a job candidate, and a heightened sense of personal achievement.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for the CRRN examination must have:

1. Current, unrestricted RN license

2. Completion of at least one of the following at the time of application:

  • Within the five years preceding the examination, completion of two years of practice as a registered professional nurse in rehabilitation nursing; or
  • Within the five years preceding the examination, completion of one year of practice as a registered professional nurse in rehabilitation nursing and one year of advanced study (beyond baccalaureate) in nursing.
